Energy and
Sustainability Commission
The Environmental and Sustainability Commission has been a part of Student Government for the past 6 years and was renewed again for 2017-18 by President Payne with the signing of Executive Order 103-02.
This Commission is tasked with finding ways to make EMU more eco-friendly. The Commission will be working on initiatives such as:

Educate students on individual impact and reducing personal waste

Improve recycling operations

Reduce food waste and help dining improve efficiency

Promote energy reduction across campus

Sustainability programming
-
Advising student organizations of how to make their events waste free
